Thanks Dan, this really clears things up especially combined with the Juggler Encyclopedia how to genuinely relate and reward, but one question (you don’t have to answer, you’ve gave enough already).
Do you relate to guys/girls when they give off negative emotions? Such as fear, greed, envy, annoyance, etc.
I know in your previous post on the self confidence exercises you said only to list positive emotions but shouldn’t one be able to relate to others on a negative level as well as a positive level? Or does this just cause the conversation to take a negative tonality like sarcasm.
Personally what I do is try and relate to the negative feeling with a short story of how I felt the same way (usually beginning with: yeah, I know what you mean…) but I don’t end it there I say ‘but’ and try to look on the bright side bringing up a positive emotion and if I’m lucky a story accompanying it. Maybe I’m thinking too much into this.
Thanks,
Teddy
