Dan,

Great podcast,

I just wanted you to know that your podcast goes all the way around to world to SOUTH EAST ASIA....a tropical place where trees and masquitos are everywhere...and death due to human stupidity are very rampant.

....the last accident we had in our town were 20 villagers burried alive by pile of rubbish, ..because they refuse to move away their homes from the rubbish dumping area.

I'm from indonesia, and I really enjoy your blog posts, JM Method and your podcasts...keep up the good work.

I can't start my days without first getting a wisdom from your blogs. Then I'd continue on with giving it some serious thoughts and internalizing those wisdoms in my conversation habits. My confidence and social life has improved sooo much...i just can't thank you enough..:DD

It's too bad i can't come to the workshop...i wuld get some phone coaching once I get enough money though..Keep up the maginficent work!! hahaha

thanks

Sorry amigo, QnA session is too hard to hear with the music in the background. Plus there has to be some incentive to actually coming in person ;)

Sorry G, can't do that. The reason is because it is not about the questions, it is about the answers you provide.

Boring questions like "How's your night?" work fine if you answer them yourself first. You do that by being relateable when you answer, this fuels conversation intensely.

"My night is going great! I just went and had the biggest sushi meal on the planet, i feel like I am as large as a submarine, except all the fish are on the inside! I swear I just can't get enough of good sushi! What does that for you?"

Try questions like
"What is that like?"
"How does that feel?"
"What about you?

Good luck and remember don't worry about coming up with better questions, come up with better answers.

Great podcast Dan, Its a shame I'm so far away otherwise I'd so be there! Your points on 'I' perspective were really well made, it made me evaluate how much I use it (not enough!)- it really does seem the key to relating on a basic emotional level.

Looking forward to hearing the next one.

J.’s book:
“When talking about women's passions talk more about the processes and the feelings“

This is one of the most practical things in the book.

Follow up ‘what is your passion?’ with asking questions about the process of doing her passion (in the book the example is asking how she molds papier mache, in PC9 Juggler brings up horse grooming). Bringing her mind to something she enjoys and getting her to re-live it, in order to describe it, is super-solid.

So you’ve been at this for a while and had countless conversations. And what people value the most about JM, is, I think, it improves your skill at taking an interest in other people. Lots of CA’s competitors cover humour, entertainment/keeping your mouth moving, but none taking an interest.

And what people like about routines, what I like about routines, is the certainty they give you, your walking into an interaction where anything can happen, and most outcomes are not you and her sleeping together, so it’s a great comfort to me to have something I can be certain of that moves me towards where I want to be.

So what I want, and this is a very intimate request, is for you to share your question tree, to share how you progress down threads. What I want is a few sequences of questions to get me in some great conversations. And obviously it’s not as fixed and definite as a ‘tree’, but just the more common chains of questions, which draw something interesting out of her…

So Juggler has given me
What is your passion?
->	‘how do you…..?’ [ask about the process of doing this activity].
->	‘how does that make you feel?’

The question tree for ‘so where have you travelled?’ might be:
->	what was that like?
->	Then ????????

Any little question trees like this, would be immediately practical. And again I know this could be seen as dubious, almost codifying your conversations into a routine, but it would be really helpful, to get some exacts on how I can better draw people out, without having to work it out through hundreds of trial and error approaches.

Also
I promise I wouldn’t squander anything I might use, I would sandwich it in I-perspective stuff.

Also
listened to flirting pt II, you are good, you handle the questions with charm, there was an equivilent to your community guy with te question roll in a DYD program, and DeAngelo had to discourage him from being so contributive, but he screwed it up slightly and was slightly hurtful, you can tell he knows in the video. You don't even close down that guy, you appreciate him, with such good humour you put DEAngelo to shame.

Your answer to 'other methods' showed grace and wisdom.
At no point did I think 'his a twat'. Well done.
